Feed My Lambs

John 21:15-17  When they had finished breakfast, Jesus asked Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?”  Peter told him, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.”  Jesus told him, “Feed my lambs.”  Then he asked him a second time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?”  Peter told him, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.”    Jesus told him, “Take care of my sheep.” He asked him a third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was deeply hurt that he had asked him a third time, “Do you love me?” So he told him, “Lord, you know everything. You know that I love you!” Jesus told him, “Feed my sheep.”

Feed my lambs.  Feed my sheep.  Such simple words with such an awesome meaning.  Jesus was not only speaking to Simon Peter, but He was also speaking to each of us as disciples of Him.  If we truly love Jesus, we will want to do as He instructs Simon Peter.  Take care of His flock.  His people.  So, who are His people?  If we believe that Jesus is God in the flesh, then we also must believe that He created ALL people!  All living creatures!  Therefore, we are called to care for ALL!  What an awesome task!

I recently happened upon a very unique company who is “feeding the flock” both figuratively and literally.  This company, “God’s Glory Boxes“, sends monthly boxes of inspirational items to it’s subscribers.  These items may include music, books, apparel and even jewelry.  Each item is carefully selected by their development team from a variety Christian artists.  Here’s the BEST part!  For every box that ships, five meals are sent to those in need through Feeding America.  Since they began in October of 2016, they have donated 16,250 meals!  They expect to donate another 11,500 meals in June and July and by the end of 2017, 84,000 meals to those in need! These may be people in your very neighborhoods!  They are growing quickly and by the end of 2018, they expect to have donated 450,000 meals to Feeding America!!

You can be a part of this amazing ministry today!  You can sign up for 1 Box, 3 Boxes, 6 Boxes or a full year, 12 boxes!  Just look at these boxes and what’s inside!  How fun!  Keep the items for yourself or use them as gifts!  For as little as $20 per month, you can not only receive these wonderful items, but you can provide FIVE meals to those in need in our country!

When you subscribe today, use the code Burstoutinsong5 to save $5 on one or three months and Burstoutinsong10 to save $10 on orders of six or twelve months!  Using these codes ensures even more people are being fed in America who otherwise may not have a meal today!

Simply go to Godsglorybox.com and subscribe today!  Don’t forget to use the discount codes to save!  Who knows, you may even see one of my CDs in a box in the future!  Wouldn’t that be cool!

Remember to make a difference today!  Smile, laugh and enjoy the life that God has given you!  Don’t stress about tomorrow or fret over yesterday, just LIVE for HIM today!

A New Chapter

Have you ever wondered how an author chooses to start a new chapter in his book?  How does he come to the conclusion that one chapter is over and a new one needs to begin?  Does he write the entire manuscript and then go back and separate the chapters or does he know instinctively when one chapter ends and another begins?

Our lives are very similar to a book.  As a matter of fact, we are in control of when one chapter ends and another begins.  Yes, sometimes circumstances beyond our control, change the flow of our book, but our reactions will set the tone for the next page and chapter.

A lot has been going on in my life this year.  I found out I was going to be a grandma for the first time!  A baby girl, Stella Rain,  due to my son, Joey, and his beautiful Brittany sometime in the very near future.

My daughter, Micah, got engaged to her handsome beau, Travis and a February wedding is in the works!   They actually chose to marry on my husband and my 35th wedding anniversary!  We are deeply touched by this gesture!

The company I worked for was sold and I, along with many of my colleagues, were not retained in the new company.  (The hazard of being in management!)

I’ve become a published author with a chapter in 100 Voices in 2016 and Women Empowered due out later this month,  a contributing writer for the online & print magazine, Positive Note Network, began work on a new CD which will release in early July, joined Christian Women in Media Association and the Women’s Speaker’s Association, attended the Global Media Summit in Dallas,  ramped up my speaking endeavors sold our home of 25 years and moved into a house that needs a considerable amount of work!  Oh and did I mention I built a website, started blogging and continue singing with the Honky Tonk Sweethearts!  Whew!

Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.

All of that being said, it’s been an incredible journey!  Each step along the way, I’ve made choices that have set the tone for the next page or chapter in my Continue reading “A New Chapter”
